Application-driven
The manufacturing system is designed around what needs to be made.
AM Technologies by Brinter is a Finland-based advanced additive manufacturing technology company. We develop manufacturing technologies, processes and platforms for applications where conventional solutions are not enough.
We bridge the gap between what is technically possible and what can be manufactured reliably. We combine engineering, materials, manufacturing technology and process control to help promising innovations move beyond experimentation and toward repeatable, reliable manufacturing.
The manufacturing system is designed around what needs to be made.
Different materials and functions can be combined within the same manufacturing process.
Process conditions are measured, understood and controlled.
Manufacturing systems can adapt to different products, materials and production requirements.
Processes developed in research can evolve toward controlled industrial manufacturing.
Our team's additive manufacturing roots go back to 1999, beginning with rapid prototyping and later expanding into customised additive manufacturing, machine and process development, bioprinting and advanced manufacturing systems. That experience shapes how we approach new applications today: start with the process challenge, understand what must be controlled, and build the manufacturing architecture around it.
Our technology roots extend from early additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping to customised production and application-specific manufacturing systems.
Development work has included technology for biomedical, pharmaceutical, industrial and space-related applications where reliability, control, documentation and system integration matter from the beginning.
We work in long-term collaborations where scientific results, process knowledge and new IP can be developed into controlled manufacturing solutions and commercial applications.
We start with the application and its requirements — not with a predefined machine.
Existing platforms, process modules and engineering building blocks allow us to move quickly without starting every development from zero.
A portfolio of patented technologies, proprietary engineering and process know-how provides a strong foundation for application-specific development.
Mechanical engineering, materials, software, control, sensing and manufacturing are developed as parts of the same system.
Repeatability, measurement, traceability and eventual manufacturing requirements are considered throughout development.
The technology foundation used for development can evolve toward the equipment and architecture required for manufacturing and scale.
Not every problem requires a completely new machine. We use proven technology platforms and modules wherever they provide the right foundation — and engineer new hardware, software, tooling or process technology where the application requires it.
The platform adapts to the process — not the other way around.
Our technologies support innovation from fundamental research and proof of concept through process development, validation and controlled manufacturing. The same modular technology foundation can be adapted across industries, materials and application requirements.

Open and configurable manufacturing technology for universities, research organisations and R&D teams developing new materials, processes and applications.
Advanced manufacturing problems rarely belong to one discipline. We work with companies, universities, research organisations, material developers, clinical experts and technology partners to combine the expertise required by each application.
These collaborations can start with fundamental research or a proof of concept and continue toward validation, application-specific engineering, controlled manufacturing and commercialisation.
AM Technologies by Brinter operates from Finland and works with international research, technology and industry partners across advanced additive manufacturing projects.
